What is gene therapy?

Find out more here

Personalised Medicine and advanced therapeutics
Hear from clinician researchers in NSW about how studying people’s genes (genomics) can help to personalise medicine. When treatments are personalised, they are tailored to the individual patient and take into account the unique characteristics of that patient and the health condition they have. It is a tailored approach rather than a ‘one size fits all’.

Advanced therapeutics are medicines that are based on genes, tissues or cells. Gene therapy is a type of advanced therapeutic.
